π A Note from Lani:
βBecause it’s Black History Month, I’d like to share the story of how I became a vegan activist. I began learning about our history, awareness and current social and political systems and ideologies through the Black Lives Matter movement. Through that lens I saw the patterns of (ab)use and injustice and understood that they are the foundation of our existence. My veganism has always been shaped by anti-racism, feminism and pro-human animal rights. My perspective is broadened day by day and I share my thoughts about the connections between veganism and other intersections such as the queer community, migration and the pro-Palestine movement @la.ni.le, in addition to my physical work in these communities. On February 20th at the Green Office, we can share our thoughts, stories and ideas.β
π Date: Friday February 20
π Time: 18:00
π Location: Green Office VU
